Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly in contact with Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola over a possible Bosman move in the summer transfer window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, with Paul Pogba’s Manchester United contract set to expire in the summer, Juventus have made contact with super-agent Mino Raiola over a possible reunion with the Frenchman. The midfielder spent four seasons in Serie A with the Bianconeri before returning to Manchester in 2016.

Pogba was snapped up by Manchester United in 2009 as a 16-year-old, but left for Turin in 2012 when he was expected to take the step up to the first team. The Frenchman left for Juventus following a contract stand-off with Manchester United, and that is where he grew in prominence.

Pogba cemented his spot in the Juventus midfield and developed into a world-beater in Turin. He made 178 appearances for the Serie A giants across competitions, scoring 34 goals and assisting 40 more. Manchester United came calling again, and he rejoined them for a then-world record transfer fee.

The Frenchman has not been able to carry Manchester United back to their golden days, showing just flashes of brilliance while struggling for consistency in five seasons at Old Trafford. He has been flirting with a move away from Manchester for some time now, with his agent Mino Raiola often expressing his client’s desire to leave the club.

Pogba now has just four months left on his contract with Manchester United, with no concrete reports of progressive contract talks between the two parties. Pogba will thus be free to leave on a Bosman move after the ongoing season. He has made 20 appearances for the Red Devils across competitions this season, scoring once and assisting eight goals.

The likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the Manchester United midfielder. The three clubs, Juventus included, are expected to fight it out for the 28-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Pogba’s time at Manchester United has been a turbulent one, and both parties would benefit if the association finally comes to an end. Pogba, too, would benefit from a move to any of the three interested clubs, as he would be given a starring role with guaranteed UEFA Champions League football season after season.
