Burnley will host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, looking to pick up their first win of the season at home.

Burnley have had a disappointing start to the league campaign, with two defeats from two league matches so far ahead of the visit of Tottenham Hotspur. On the other hand, Spurs have begun the Premier League season strongly, with seven points from the last three matches.

The North London outfit have picked up wins over Manchester United and Bournemouth in the last two matches. And they will look to continue their impressive run of form with a victory over Burnley now.

Spurs are undoubtedly the better team here, and they have the form and momentum with them. Burnley will be hoping to get things right in front of their own fans here, and it remains to be seen whether they can pull off a morale-boosting victory at Turf Moor.

Key Player

James Maddison

The Tottenham Hotspur summer signing has done well since his move to the North London club. The 26-year-old will be expected to open up the opposition defence with his incisive passing, set-piece prowess and link-up play.

Burnley have an attacking approach under Vincent Kompany, and Tottenham will have spaces to exploit here. Maddison could make the most of that and influence the game in the final third to deliver the three points.

Prediction

Burnley 1-2 Tottenham

Tottenham are the favourites heading into this game, and they should be able to pick up all three points here. Burnley are likely to put up a fight at home and this is likely to be a close encounter.  However, Spurs have enough quality in the final third to bypass the home defence and edge this game. A narrow 2-1 win for the away side is on the cards here.
