Liverpool will take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and the Reds will be hoping to continue their impressive run of form with a win away from home.

Liverpool are coming into this game on the back of a 7-0 win against Manchester United. They are currently fifth in the league table. And a win here would take them into the top four provided the other results go their way.

Bournemouth are currently at the bottom of the table and were beaten by league leaders Arsenal in their last outing. The last time these two sides met, Liverpool picked up a 9-0 win at Anfield, and the visitors will be hoping for more of the same here.

The home side will be without the services of Matias Vina, Junior Stanislas and David Brooks because of injuries. The Cherries are expected to start in a 5-4-1 formation, with captain Neto in goal.

Adam Smith and Jordan Zemura will line up as the wing-backs here, and they will look to provide width to the side during counter-attacks and cover the central defenders as well. Chris Mepham will start alongside Jack Stephens and Marco Senesi as the central defenders.

In the midfield, Jefferson Lerma and Philip Billing will look to add defensive cover to the side while the likes of Dango Ouattara and Hamed Traore will add width and creativity from the flanks. Former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke will lead the line for the hosts.

Probable Lineup (5-4-1): Neto; Smith, Mepham, Stephens, Senesi, Zemura; Ouattara, Lerma, Billing, Traore; Solanke

Liverpool

The Reds are without Calvin Ramsay and Thiago Alcantara because of injuries. Luis Diaz is still working on his match fitness and is unlikely to be ready for this game. The Reds will continue with their usual 4-3-3 formation, with Alisson Becker in goal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will retain their place as the full-backs, and they will look to add creativity to the side from the wide areas. Ibrahima Konate will start alongside Virgil van Dijk as the central defenders here.

Brazilian midfielder Fabinho will anchor the side and provide cover to the central defenders, while Harvey Elliott will add creativity in the middle of the park. Captain Jordan Henderson is set to start in the midfield three as well. The England international will add drive and defensive work rate to the side. January signing Cody Gakpo will lead the line for the visitors with Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez on either side of him.

Probable Lineup (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Elliott, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez

Player to Watch

Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian international is in outstanding form right now, and he has picked up five goals in his last six outings for the Reds across all competitions. Salah has four assists to his name in that time as well.

The 30-year-old could cause all sorts of problems for a vulnerable Bournemouth defence, and he is our man to watch out for this weekend.

Prediction

Bournemouth 1-3 Liverpool

The Reds are undoubtedly the favourites heading into this game, and they have enough quality to pick up a comfortable away win. Bournemouth are coming into this game on the back of two consecutive defeats, and they are clearly lacking in form and confidence right now.

The Cherries will need a bit of a miracle in order to grind out all three points here. The Hard Tackle predicts a comfortable 3-1 win for Liverpool away from home.
