Transfer Roundup: Cristiano Ronaldo To Reunite With Manchester United; Chelsea FC Break Transfer Record For Pogba

Real Madrid face another trophy-less season after the 2-0 loss in Wolfsburg, and the top brass at the club are reportedly prepared to sell star forward Cristiano Ronaldo in an attempt to completely overhaul the squad.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Manchester United are preparing a bid for the Portuguese star, as their sponsors Adidas are hugely in favour of the move. The report from the Spanish outlet also states that Chevrolet, another of their sponsors, also wants Ronaldo to move back to his former club, as the American car makers want to expand their presence in Europe.

Chelsea to break transfer record for Pogba?

Juventus vs Torino

With Antonio Conte’s arrival confirmed, Chelsea are reportedly moving swiftly to land the signature of Paul Pogba. In fact, Blues owner Roman Abramovich is said to have invited delegates from Juventus to London to talk about the matter, according to The Sun. The main issue that the two parties are set to discuss, if reports from Italy are to be believed, is the future of Juan Cuadrado, who is currently on loan at Juventus from Chelsea.

Juventus are not too keen to sell their star midfielder, but Chelsea are reportedly ready to match Pogba’s £97 million release clause. If that is the case, Juventus will not be able to stop the Frenchman from going back to the Premier League.

Arturo Vidal douses Chelsea rumours

Juventus vs Bayern Monaco

Yet another of Conte’s ex-players Arturo Vidal has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, where he could reunite with his former boss. Vidal has received a lot of praise from Conte, with the Italian saying that he would take the Chilean with him, if he ever went to war.

Now plying his trade at Bayern Munich, it was speculated that Vidal will seek a move away from the Bavarian club as manager Pep Guardiola leaves at the end of the season.

However, Vidal has quashed these rumours, saying that he intends to stay in Munich. Vidal was quoted by Chilean outlet BioBio as saying, “I am very happy here. I have to think about my family and I still have time on my contract.”

Out of favour Parejo to get Liverpool lifeline?

VALENCIA VS RAPID WIEN

Daniel Parejo has reportedly been growing increasingly unpopular with the Valencia fans, and this could see the Spaniard seek a move away from Los Che. Parejo has scored only six goals in the Valencia shirt in La Liga so far, but has caught the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Due to his growing unpopularity in Valencia, the Reds could land him for as low a transfer fee as £8 million, according to reports from Spain. Klopp is said to be looking for a midfielder with good passing ability, and reportedly believes that Parejo could be the man to solve Liverpool’s problems in midfield.

Conte to hold contract talks with Terry

Arsenal v Chelsea

With Chelsea captain John Terry’s future hanging in the balance, incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte is set to hold talks with the defender about his future at the club, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.

Terry had stated earlier this season that he may part ways with Chelsea, after the club put his contract extension talks on hold till the permanent manager for next season was appointed. Terry’s contract is due to run out after the end of this season.

However, in spite of Conte being ready to hold talks with Terry about his future, the Chelsea captain is reportedly not too optimistic about his chances of getting an extension. He has offers from the Chinese Super League and the MLS in USA, if reports are to be believed.
