Just a day after Antonio Conte was confirmed as the next manager for Chelsea, news has surfaced that the Italian may be banned for six months.
News of his alleged involvement in a match fixing scandal was trending all over the Internet, and Reddit was no different. Italy boss Antonio Conte was confirmed as the Chelsea manager on Monday, and is set to take over the role at the start of the next season.
However, recent revelations in a match-fixing case dating back to the 2011/12 season mean that the Italian could be facing a six-month ban from football, according to Sky Sport.

Conte was the manager of Siena back then, and had allegedly failed to report a match-fixing case, which could come back to haunt the former Juventus boss. He had been handed a 10-month ban back then, but that was later reduced to four months after an appeal.
Barcelona still way ahead of Real Madrid claims Pique
Real Madrid received a lot of praise for defeating FC Barcelona after going one man down at the Camp Nou — a task many would have considered nearly impossible.
However, that does not change the fact that the Catalans have undoubtedly become the top team in Spain over the last decade or so, and Real Madrid have often struggled to match up to the Blaugrana. Barcelona defender Gerard Pique summed the situation up saying, “When Cruyff arrived in 1988, beating Madrid was our great achievement. Now the roles have changed. That’s his legacy.”
It is quite clear that the win meant a lot to Real Madrid, who have been dealt heavy blows this season, and are currently seven points behind Barcelona. In fact, Los Blancos are even behind their cross town rivals Atletico Madrid at the moment.

Police investigating rape threats on Vardy’s daughter
The Police are investigating the rape threats aimed at Jamie Vardy’s one-year-old daughter on Twitter, after the Leicester City striker’s fiance posted a picture of the toddler on social media.
“Leicestershire police is investigating a report of malicious communication being sent via social media,” the representative of the police force was quoted as saying by The Guardian. “Inquiries remain ongoing and the force is liaising with Leicester City Football Club.”
The picture of the little girl was posted on Twitter ahead of Leicester’s weekend game against Southampton, after which violent and horrifying comments were received. Jamie Vardy later tweeted out screenshots of these threatening tweets.
Leicester is better than Juve, Barca and Bayern
With just seven matches to go, the dream of winning the Premier League could soon become reality for Leicester City, if the Foxes manage to keep playing the way they currently are.
Leicester City are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League, with a seven-point lead over second placed Tottenham Hotspur. Leicester thus have the biggest lead on their closest rivals, when compared to some of the other top league leaders in the continent (in La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A).
A certain tabulation of the data from the aforementioned leagues is doing the rounds on Reddit, and it places the Foxes above some of the continental giants like Barcelona, Juventus, and Bayern Munich.
