Chelsea FC had their captain to thank on the evening as Gary Cahill scored a late goal to propel Antonio Conte’s side to a crucial away win over Stoke City.
Chelsea fans were getting prepared to settle for a fighting 1-1 draw against Stoke City, when Gary Cahill latched on to a rebound in the opposition box near the 90 minute mark, before slotting it beyond the keeper to score the winner.
And the Chelsea skipper was greeted with delight on Twitter as fans took to the social media platform to show their affection towards the Englishman.

If ever there was a player that personifies the form temporary, class permanent adage, it has to be @GaryJCahill. Wins #cfc three points.

However, it was N’Golo Kante who’s tireless performance got him the Man of the Match award, as per Whoscored; and fans praised the Frenchman, as has become a routine after every Chelsea win.
Kante just stopped a 4-on-3 Stoke counter without even attempting a tackle. Just flawless positioning #cfc

Stoke come forward and Allen is about to shoot from the edge of the box. Guess who intercepts? N’Golo Kante. #STKCHE

Kante again sensational. 90.2% passing accuracy so far. Most tackles for Chelsea and possession regained more than any other Blue. #STKCHE

Meanwhile, if there was any Justice in the world, Kante wld have been bought for 90 million, & Pogba for 35. Argue with your ancestors.
