Chelsea bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League in style on Saturday, with a 4-0 rout of Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium.
Alvaro Morata netted his first hat-trick in Chelsea colours on Saturday, to propel the Premier League champions back to winning ways and consolidate their place in the Top 4. The Spaniard opened the scoring in the second minute before adding two more goals in the second half to notch up his treble.
Pedro struck a superb long-range goal as well as Antonio Conte’s men negotiated the tricky away trip to Stoke with consummate ease. But, the hero of the day was Morata, who is now the joint top scorer in the Premier League, with six goals.
Alvaro Morata has now scored as many Premier League hat-tricks for Chelsea (1) as Diego Costa.

Alvaro Morata has 8 goals + assists in first 6 Premier League games. Seems like he’s acclimated to PL, wonder when PL will acclimate to him.

Who needs Costa? 2 cracking finishes from Morata. Read a lot of rubbish about him after one below par performance last week.

Absolutely class Alvaro Morata. This guy is the real deal. COME ON CHELSEA!

Stunning goal. 3 points. Morata’s confidence sky high. Stoke already taken points off Arsenal & United-don’t underestimate this performance.

Not many teams come here and do that to Stoke. Excellent performance, and blinding to see Morata get a hat-trick.

I’m completely fine with both of the Manchester clubs getting the attention this season. We’ll just quietly do damage again.
