Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has been linked with clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United in recent weeks. Manager Roberto de Zerbi has now revealed (h/t 90 Min) that the Ecuador midfielder will move on this summer.

“Yes, I think it can be the last game for Alexis and Moises Caicedo. I am really sorry because they are two great people and two great players but the policy of Brighton is like this.

“It is right that they can leave, they can play at a higher level. People believe Alexis is a fantastic player, but as a man he is better than the player.

“I’m really sorry if we lose him, if we lose Moises Caicedo, but players like this deserve to play at another level, another level in terms of competition, in terms of importance of the club, prestige of the club.”

The 21-year-old has established himself as a promising young talent in the Premier League and he could prove to be a quality, long-term acquisition for all three English clubs.

Arsenal need to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park and Caicedo could prove to be the ideal partner for Thomas Partey at the base of Mikel Arteta’s midfield.

He will add defensive cover and work rate in the middle of the park. The 21-year-old’s arrival will allow Arsenal to dominate proceedings in the middle of the park, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners can get the deal done.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are in need of multiple midfield reinforcements this summer, especially with the club losing James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita on free transfers.

The Reds are thought to be closing in on the capture of Caicedo’s teammate, Alexis Mac Allister. It will be interesting to see if they can sign the 21-year-old as well.

Caicedo seems like an ideal fit for Jurgen Klopp’s style of football and the German manager could help him develop into a top-class player.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will have to add more depth and quality to their midfield as well. They need to bring in a reliable partner for Casemiro and the 21-year-old Brighton midfielder would be an upgrade on Scott McTominay and Fred. Both Manchester United midfielders have been linked with a move away from the club this summer and the Red Devils will have to bring in quality replacements.

Caicedo has shown that he is capable of playing for a top club and the opportunity to join clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United could prove to be hard to turn down.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to take the next step in his career and join a club capable of challenging for major trophies. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.
