Real Madrid won the FIFA Club World Cup for a record fourth time as they beat Al Ain 4-1 at Sheikh Zayed Sports City Stadium on Saturday evening.

Santiago Solari’s men continued dominating the game, only to see Khalid Eisa deny them with a series of top saves. Real Madrid finally doubled their advantage at the hour mark, as Marcos Llorente scored a scintillating long range goal, before Sergio Ramos put the game to bed with a thumping header in the 78th minute.

Al Ain did pull a goal back with four minutes left in regulation time, through Tsukasa Shiotani. But, Real Madrid scored again, with Yahia Nader putting the ball into his own net following Vinicius Junior’s run into the Al Ain box. The 4-1 win though, saw Real Madrid lift the FIFA Club World Cup for the fourth time, overtaking fierce rivals Barcelona to the record triumph.

Sergio Ramos produced a captain’s performance, first making a crucial goal line clearance with the score reading 0-0 before scoring his side’s third goal.

Finally, Marcos Llorente and Luka Modric received the fans’ adulation for a colossal showing in midfield, in addition to their sumptuous long range screamers
