Paul Robinson heaps praise on Dominik Szoboszlai, makes James Maddison claim

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has heaped praise on the Liverpool summer signing Dominik Szoboszlai.

Dominik Szoboszlai joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window. And Paul Robinson believes that the 23-year-old Liverpool playmaker has been one of the best signings this season.

The former Tottenham goalkeeper lavished praise on James Maddison as well, but he claimed that the Liverpool midfielder has made just as much of an impact. The former Leicester City midfielder has been outstanding for Tottenham, and he has transformed them in the attack.

“For me, Szobsozlai is one of the best signings of the season,” Robinson said on Football Daily, before adding, “You look at the impact James Maddison has had at Tottenham at the beginning of the season, for me, Szobsozlai has had as big of an impact.”

As far as Szoboszlai is concerned, the 23-year-old Hungarian midfielder has added physicality,  drive, creativity and defensive cover to the side. He has contributed to three goals and three assists across all competitions as well.

The midfielder is likely to improve with experience and coaching, and he could develop into a world-class player for Liverpool. The former Bundesliga star has adapted to the Premier League really well, hitting the ground running. There is no doubt that he is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League right now, and Liverpool will be really pleased with his performances so far.

Robinson’s claims are hardly a surprise given the way the Hungarian international has performed for his new club and garnered praise. Liverpool are very much in the title race this season, and it will be interesting to see if the 23-year-old midfielder can guide them to a league title.

Liverpool have missed a complete midfielder like Szoboszlai since the departure of legendary captain Steven Gerrard. Although the 23-year-old has a long way to go before he can match up to the former England international’s legacy, he is certainly an elite prospect, and Liverpool will hope that he can go from strength to strength in the coming months.

Jurgen Klopp has done well to nurture talented young players throughout his managerial career, and he could play a key role in the development of the player. He could help the 23-year-old fulfil his world-class potential and establish himself as one of the best players in the league.
