Oliver Sonne has expressed his desire to join Arsenal and revealed his dream of playing for the club should an opportunity arise.
Arsenal have a good network of scouts, and they may have sounded out their interest in Peruvian full-back Oliver Sonne. The right-back has played his entire career in Denmark, and has a cup final to look forward to with current side Silkeborg IF.
He has spent three years with the club and could play in a few of his last games here as he dreams of a big summer move away from the club. As per his comments on Tipsbladet, he harbours dreams of playing for Arsenal and will undoubtedly jump at the opportunity if the Gunners come about with an offer.

“I would like to play in the Italian league or Arsenal. It would be a dream of mine, but I don’t know if it’s possible at the moment. “I hope it can become a reality one day.”
It’s a dream for many players worldwide to play for a club like Arsenal, but Sonne might have more extensive exposure to European football than most, and it is undoubtedly on the radar of Gunners’ scouts. However, the north Londoners have not seen any links with the 23-year-old defender, nor have any other Premier League clubs.
This season, it’s been productive enough for Sonne, with the 23-year-old defender making 31 appearances while posting three goals and four assists. These are good numbers for a promising full-back, although whether that is enough for Mikel Arteta to consider remains the question.
Arsenal are in the market for a new full-back, and as per recent reports, they could have agreed to a move with Ferdi Kadioglu. Whether the Turkish full-back joins the club remains the question, but undoubtedly, Arteta is keen to add to that position during the summer.
The right-back slot has plenty of suitors, although Arsenal is set to part ways with Cedric Soares, which does leave room for a new player. There are significant doubts about whether that player will be Sonne, although should the 23-year-old defender keep performing at his current levels, he might get a big break out of Denmark soon.
