Lluis Carrasco, the campaign manager for Joan Laporta during his presidency bid, has taken aim at Ronald Koeman, claiming he is self destructive.
On his official Twitter account, Lluis Carrasco has aimed a dig at Ronald Koeman. The campaign manager for Joan Laporta during his presidency bid has claimed that the Barcelona manager is self destructive while also appearing to give a warning over his conduct by referring to Ilaix Moriba’s exit from Camp Nou.
Ronald Koeman was appointed as the Barcelona manager in the wake of a tumultuous 2019/20 season that opened the Pandora’s Box at Camp Nou. Shortly after his arrival, then president Josep Maria Bartomeu resigned from the presidency of the club, with Joan Laporta replacing him.
As for the Dutchman’s own performance, Barcelona endured a difficult 2020/21 campaign that saw them suffer some major lows. However, they also won the Copa del Rey at the end of a fine cup campaign.
Koeman, though, appears to have an uneasy relationship with Laporta, as evidenced by his recent comments about the Barcelona president wherein he claimed he was not treated with respect. And now, Koeman has come on the receiving end of a Laporta aide.
Koeman s’ha auto-destruit..
Laporta el manté contra tota lògica i li paga creant incendis i més incendis.
Laporta comet errors però sap on vol arribar, i si el vaciles, estàs mort.
Mireu Ilaix…

Lluis Carrasco, who was Laporta’s campaign manager during his presidency bid, has slammed the Barcelona manager for his recent outburst, claiming that he is self destructive while also quoting the example of Ilaix Moriba and his exit from Camp Nou, possibly as a warning to Koeman over his conduct.
Carrasco said, “Koeman has self-destructive. Laporta holds it against all logic and pays for it by creating fires and more fires. Laporta makes mistakes but he knows how far he can go. And if you hesitate, you’re dead. Look at Ilaix …”
There have been suggestions that Koeman might be walking a tightrope following his recent comments about Laporta. The meek defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League would not have helped matters, although it remains to be seen if Koeman can make a case for himself by turning the fortunes around for his side in the season to come.
