Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City side on the final matchday of the 2018-19 Premier League at the King Power Stadium.

Coming into the game after their successful UEFA Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt, Chelsea started on a strong note with Ross Barkley coming close to scoring just three minutes into the game. Youri Tielemans threatened the Blues’ goal at the other end, but could not breach the goal, while Gonzalo Higuain missed narrowly on the verge of half-time.

Post the break, Tielemans came the closest to scoring, but his effort drifted just wide. Chelsea tried throwing on star man Eden Hazard in search of a breakthrough but could not find a way through the Leicester backline, and ended up sharing the spoils.

With Tottenham being held 2-2 by Everton, Chelsea held on to the third spot in the Premier League standings, despite dropping points. And here’s how the Blues’ supporters reacted to the result at the King Power;

Sunday’s game could very well have been the last time Eden Hazard turned out for Chelsea in the Premier League. The Belgian international has been heavily linked with a summer move to Real Madrid and fans took to Twitter to implore him to stay at the club after the match ended.
