Emerson Royal set to hold talks over Tottenham future with his agents

Emerson Royal has been linked with a summer move away from Tottenham this summer. AC Milan are reportedly keen on signing the Brazilian defender.

According to a report from UOL, Emerson Royal could be on the move in the summer transfer window, and he has now fuelled speculations surrounding his future by stating that he will hold showdown talks with his agents regarding his future soon.

The Brazilian defender has revealed that he is currently on vacation and that he will decide on his future with his agents when he returns. He is unlikely to be a regular starter for Tottenham next season. So, it makes sense for him to move on permanently. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, and Spurs will not be able to provide him with that opportunity.

“I asked my managers not to talk to me about these issues for now because I’m on vacation, I recently got married and I want to enjoy this moment. In the next few days, I’ll have to have a meeting with them because it’s a very important decision that I’ll have to make now .”

Emerson Royal needs to move on

Pedro Porro is currently the first-choice right-back at the North London club. Emerson has been a useful squad player for Spurs, but he is not a key part of their plans. It makes sense for the parties to go their separate ways.

There is no doubt that the 25-year-old defender could be a useful player for AC Milan, and they could use a versatile fullback like him. A move to Italy would be ideal for the player. The Brazilian international would get to play regularly, and he would get to join a top club competing in the UEFA Champions League as well.

Meanwhile, Spurs will be hoping to get rid of the defender and raise some funds from his departure. They are looking to improve their squad this summer, and it remains to be seen whether they can bring in the right reinforcement.

AC Milan will be hoping to sign the player for a reasonable price this summer, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to negotiate with them in the coming weeks.
