Chelsea’s winning run doesn’t seem to end any sooner, and it extended to a league record 13 victories on Saturday, as they beat Stoke City 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte’s side opened the scoring as Gary Cahill nodded in from Cesc Fabregas’ corner in the 34th minute, but Bruno Martins Indi equalised for the Potters to make it 1-1 just after the break.
Chelsea began the second half full of energy as they went in search for their second goal to reclaim the lead. They finally got that goal in the 57th minute as Willian’s thumping strike was too powerful for Lee Grant to get his hands to.
Peter Crouch pegged Chelsea back once again in the 64th minute before Willian grabbed his second a minute later to make it 3-2. The win was finally rounded off with five minutes to go as Diego Costa continued his impressive goalscoring run to put the game to bed and make it 13 in a row for his side.
