After an astonishing 13-game winning run, Chelsea were finally halted in their tracks by Tottenham losing 2-0 to their London rivals at White Hart Lane.
It eventually took a Mauricio Pochettino masterclass to finally give Chelsea their first loss since their 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Arsenal back in September.
Dele Alli’s heroics in front of goal aided by solid performances from Christian Eriksen, Moussa Dembele and Toby Alderweireld ironically ensured that Spurs prevented Chelsea from matching Arsenal 14-match winning run from 2002.
However, there was much optimism amongst the Stamford Bridge faithful as they still sat five points clear at the top of the table.
That said, there was a bit of concern shown towards the form and performances of the likes of Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso on the night but it did little to dampen the spirits of the Blues.
Dele Alli running riot. Haven’t seen Moses this sh*t scared since he saw that burning bush.

I think Moses played bad today but Chelsea will slate Alonso
Hazard missed a sitter but they’ll blame Pedro.
We are too quick to judge. #CFC— ConteTweets (@ConteTweets) January 4, 2017
Whatever witchcraft/spell was on Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso has now clearly worn off.

Victor Moses is very suddenly looking less like the new Cafu and more like former Wigan and Stoke winger Victor Moses. #TOTCHE

That’s the Victor Moses we know and love

The way Victor Moses is playing, Antonio Conte may get him an emergency Congolese passport and send him to the AFCON.

Cut Victor Moses some slack, even Moses couldn’t take the Israelites to the promised land

Spurs aside, if Kante, Hazard, Moses and Azpi are going to have a bad day and it means we lose I’d much rather it happens in the same game
— Chelsea Stats (@ChelseaStats) January 4, 2017
That aside, there was largely positive vibes around the Chelsea camp as they looked ahead to continue their title charge. Some even took a leaf out of the history book to reassure fellow blues things will be alright.
Chelsea lost at White Hart Lane in the last 2 seasons #CFC went on to win the title, 2-1 in 2009/10 and 5-3 in 2014/15. Fact.
