Chelsea have moved ever-closer to clinching the Premier League trophy after earning a convincing 3-0 win over Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge on Monday.
Monday Football has never been sweeter for a Chelsea fan. The Blues moved to within one win – ninety minutes from getting their hands back on the Premier League trophy with a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Goals from Diego Costa, Marcos Alonso and Nemanja Matic condemned Boro to relegation as well on the night, with the team now set to return to the Championship for the next campaign.
Chelsea fans, though, heaped praise on Cesc Fabregas, who was magical on the night, extending his assists tally to 11, despite receiving little playing time this season. Many had predicted that Fabregas would not be able to adapt to Conte’s system but he has been immense in their campaign and the same was rightly pointed out by the fans.
Cesc Fabregas is the first player with 10+ assists in six different Premier League Seasons.

An absolute master-class of passing from Fabregas. Vision, technique, weight of delivery, now with outside of his right foot to set up Matic

Fabregas has been a joy to watch tonight. Up there with the best-ever PL players for me

Considering that average midfielders go for £89million these days, if anyone is serious about signing Fabregas, give us that £200million. ?

However, the Spaniard was not the only one on the receiving end of praise as teammate Marcos Alonso, who scored on the night was another positive spark throughout the season and was rightly the subject of appreciation for many fans.
Marcos Alonso is better going forward than the entire Manchester United team.

Marcos Alonso could switch & start playing as a forward like Bale did and have a better Career than Walcott has had at Arsenal

However, the best moment of the game came after the match as Antonio Conte went towards the Middlesbrough supporters – lauded them for their support towards their team and consoled the Boro staff after their relegation was confirmed on the night.
