A late goal from Dan Gosling condemned Chelsea to a 1-0 defeat against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge in Matchweek 17 of the 2019-20 Premier League.
Chelsea were handed a shock 1-0 defeat by Eddie Howe’s injury-hit Bournemouth outfit at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, courtesy a clever goal from Dan Gosling in the 84th minute.
The Blues put in a dour display as they struggled to get past a solid Cherries’ backline leading to their fourth defeat in five Premier League outings. Naturally, the fans were far from pleased with the performance with many blaming manager Frank Lampard for the defeat.
so we’ve just dropped 3 points at home to a 15th placed Bournemouth with 5 losses in a row before this match, fantastic stuff!
ourselves? 4 losses in the last 5, unbelievable stuff really. maybe Lampard should take a good look at the squad again before picking his next team 🙂

Went into the season with no expectations as i thought we weren’t anywhere near good enough. A decent run of form and i wrongfully got my hopes up. This team isn’t anywhere near good enough for top 4 and we’ll be out of it before January. Desperately need to buy some players.

This is Chelsea who everyone expected to be this season and now here they’re. Absolute disgraceful

Abysmal performance, can’t score against a team who have not won their last 5 matches. I get it it’s transition season but u can’t justify this. Lampard made stupid decisions today. Bournemouth deserved this win. £150m is not enough money for January transfer. #CHEBOU

LAMPARD HAS TO BE BLAMED FOR THIS .. AWFUL SELECTION

THAT IS NINE POINTS DROPPED AGAINST SIDES IN DISARRAY. Willian and Mount wouldn’t start for Sheffield. Frank must now take the heat he deserves. FOUR DEFEATS IN THE LAST FIVE. Disgraceful.

Lampard is clueless, Emerson adds nothing to this team, why take off your 2 wingers in a match like this. Mount needs to be benched. I’m not the board neither am I a coach but even a child would know Lampard isn’t fit for Chelsea

A large number of fans were left questioning the selection of Mason Mount, who offered very little throughout the game, while Callum Hudson-Odoi also drew a lot of flak having failed to make an impact after coming on as a substitute.

Mount will make Lampard lose his job… Make my words

MASON MOUNT IS A DISGRACE
— Pulisic For President ?? (@PPulisic1) December 14, 2019
Dude at this point I don’t even understand how Barkley is not starting before him. Surely he can do a little better than Mount. Lampard is pathetic for not even giving him a chance.

Jorginho
Willian
Pulisic
All sacrificed to keep Mason Mount on.— Fille Chauve (@Fvnmi) December 14, 2019
Lampard is at fault.
Kept a below par Mount on the field. Brought on a dull Odoi for Willian.
Rested Kovacic to play Mount who has played rubbish these past weeks. Everything is Lampards fault.— IANAHB (@_IAMFESIAYO) December 14, 2019
Wonder what Bayern saw in Hudson odoi
— kenna (@kennagq) December 14, 2019
Callum Hudson Odoi anytime he’s substituted into serious matches
