Brian Brobbey has revealed that Arsenal and Manchester United are among his dream clubs, although he has distanced himself from a move in the summer.
Brian Brobbey has had a fantastic season on a personal level with Ajax despite the club’s struggles to stay relevant in Eredivisie. The striker has consistently performed for the Amsterdam club, which he rejoined after the club decided to part ways a few years ago.
With some of the key attackers leaving over the last two seasons, Brobbey has made himself a big-name player with Ajax. He scored 18 times in the past season and has 12 assists in all competitions, meaning a few top clubs could be looking to sign him in the close season.
As it happened, the 22-year-old attacker revealed his dream clubs and his comments on Soccer News pointed towards Arsenal and Manchester United, among those he would love to join in the future. Whether those clubs are in the race for him remains the question, but things could change in the summer.
Brobbey said, “Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club. “If you look at that stadium. A very nice club, but that also applies to Manchester United, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.”
“I have a contract until 2027. At the moment I am just at Ajax.“
Ajax are always open to a big sale, and should any club come in for Brobbey in the close season they will consider offers. While the striker continues to enjoy football on a personal level, he might also have ambitions to play for some of the big teams in England or Spain.
Hence, it will come as no surprise to name Arsenal and Manchester United in the mix, while playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona is any player’s dream. However, so far, the Gunners and the Red Devils have yet to see links to Brobbey, although the latter had planned on considering him in the summer.
Arsenal are currently linked with Benjamin Sesko, while Manchester United are also considering bringing in another young striker to complement Rasmus Hojlund. There’s every chance Brobbey could enter these conversations, although so far, things are quiet on that front.
