The reigning champions left Dean Court with all three points, with a solitary goal from Eden Hazard proving to be the difference between the two sides.

As things stand, Chelsea now sit at fourth place on the table, 9 points behind table toppers Manchester City. Bournemouth on the other hand, are languishing at 19th and are 2 points away from safety.

Despite Chelsea’s dominance for large parts of the game, they couldn’t capitalise on Hazard’s magic, making it a largely frustrating night for the fans.

Hazard opened the scoring for Chelsea with a slick finish in the 50th minute. The Belgian had a stunning first half, so it came as now surprise that he was the one to draw first blood.

That would eventually, prove the be the only goal of the game.

There were mixed reactions to Alvaro Morata’s performance. The Spaniard did get an assist, but failed to put away a number of chances.

There were concerns over a Fabregas-Bakayoko midfield as well.
