Chelsea managed to defeat Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in the UEFA Champions League, thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Michy Batshuayi.
Chelsea went into their second group stage game of the UEFA Champions League game against Atletico Madrid anticipating a tough evening up ahead. And it panned out that way. The Blues were ready to share the spoils after Alvaro Morata canceled out Antoine Griezmann’s conversion from the penalty spot.
However, up stepped Michy Batshuayi as he netted the winner deep into stoppage time to rescue all three points for the Blues. The Belgian’s heroics were the toast of Twitter all night as Chelsea fans raved of the striker, who himself joined in on the act.

Just the 19 goals and assists now for Michy Batshuayi in his first ~1,100 minutes played for Chelsea (16G, 3A). Decent.
