Arsenal, Chelsea among other clubs to pay tribute to Chapecoense following tragedy [Tweets]

Tragedy struck earlier today when a plane carrying Brazilian team Chapecoense FC crashed near Medellin, leaving only six confirmed survivors

The Brazilian side were  travelling from Bolivia to Medellin, when their aircraft reported electrical issues and later disappeared off the radar.

An Earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale was also later confirmed in the area where the plane crashed.

Officials said the plane was carrying 72 passengers and nine crew members.

A host of well-known figures in football, along with football clubs from all over the world have expressed their sympathies for the Brazilian side on Twitter :
