Romelu Lukaku recently hinted that he could reveal details regarding his failed move from Chelsea to Inter Milan that could shock many. “I had appreciated the silence up until now,” he said before continuing, :The moment you say, ‘I will speak’, the respect that was there disappears from me. We are certainly missing something, but now either you speak or you shut up.”
Lukaku was heavily linked with a return to Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, but there were links with Juventus as well. Apparently, the Nerazzurri decided to pull out of a move to re-sign the 30-year-old because of his decision to speak to Juventus regarding a potential move.
The move to Juventus did not happen either, and Lukaku ended up joining AS Roma on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Belgian has been in fine form for the Italian club, scoring seven goals in eight matches across all competitions. He will be hoping to continue impressing at the capital club, and it remains to be seen whether they sign him permanently the season.
