Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready to return to the managerial world by joining Brazil ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Jurgen Klopp wants to return to the managerial world in the coming months. The former Liverpool manager is unhappy with his job with the Red Bull group. So, he has offered his services to the Brazilian national team and wants to take charge of the Selecao at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Jurgen Klopp is one of the most legendary managers of his generation. The German tactician cut his teeth in his homeland after entering the managerial sphere. His first spell came with FSV Mainz 05 before his stock skyrocketed during his stint with Borussia Dortmund.
However, Klopp reached the zenith of managerial career during his spell with Liverpool, winning the elusive Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League crown. However, the experienced manager dropped a bombshell 15 months ago when he called time on his Liverpool stint, which ended after the 2023/24 season culminated.
The 57-year-old tactician has taken up a backroom role since leaving Liverpool, taking over as the Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull group. However, the report by Fichajes has suggested that Klopp is unhappy with his job, and he wants to return to the managerial sphere by joining Brazil.
Interestingly, recent reports have linked Jurgen Klopp with Real Madrid, with Los Blancos mulling over parting ways with Carlo Ancelotti in the coming weeks. The reigning La Liga champions run the risk of failing to win a trophy this season, which will cost Ancelotti his job. However, the CBF might have the opportunity to usurp Real Madrid in the battle.
The CBF recently parted ways with Dorival Junior after the 62-year-old tactician failed to galvanise the squad during his tenure. So, Brazil must appoint a new head coach, and Klopp is ready to offer his services to the Selecao.
The former Liverpool manager’s pedigree is unquestionable, and appointing him as the new head coach ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup might be a masterstroke. It will be interesting to see if the 57-year-old German tactician leaves the Red Bull group after a few months.
