PSG feel Luis Campos is using Arsenal and Chelsea to speed up contract talks

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly feel Luis Campos is using Arsenal and Chelsea links to fast-track contract renewal talks.

Luis Campos’s future at PSG has become a massive talking point of late. He has been linked with a move to the Premier League as well as Saudi Arabia. But, according to a report from L’Equipe, PSG believe he is using links with Arsenal and Chelsea to get his way on a new deal.

After working at clubs across the globe, Campos made the move to Paris in the summer of 2022. He has played a massive part in all the blockbuster signings they have made in recent years. While he has done a great job, there has been a lot of talk about his future at the club as his current deal with the French giants runs out at the end of the season.

Campos linked with a move away from PSG

The 60-year-old has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, where he has a massive deal on the table. They are willing to make him in charge of picking the team for the 2034 event that they will be hosting. As per the reports, they have put forward a massive €200 million deal for a period of ten years.

Apart from interest from the Middle East, Arsenal are also keen on his signature as they look for an ideal Edu Gaspar replacement. They have been on the lookout for a new sporting director since he left the club towards the end of 2024, and they feel Luis Campos could do a great job with the amount of experience he has.

Chelsea are also looking to build a strong structure above Enzo Maresca for their new project. Reports suggest they have already held talks with Campos’s entourage as they consider him an interesting option to take the club forward.

PSG feel Luis Campos is using interest as leverage

Meanwhile, PSG are not yet against the idea of renewing the Portuguese advisor’s contract. But, they feel recent links with the London clubs are an attempt to put pressure on them. Campos is believed to be comfortable in Paris and with the French club’s project and is keen on extending his stay at the club.

The experienced transfer guru is growing frustrated because renewal talks with them haven’t gone anywhere. While he wants it done and dusted as soon as possible, PSG are yet to sort out negotiations. They feel there is unnecessary pressure on them to fast-track negotiations as Campos pushes to get the desired deal.
