Arsenal and Chelsea have made a move to lure Paris Saint-Germain’s strategic advisor, Luis Campos, to the Premier League.
Luis Campos’ future has become a big talking point as he is yet to extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain. While he prefers staying at the French club, multiple top clubs are looking to lure him away.
There is a massive financial offer from Saudi Arabia on the table, and Premier League clubs are also keen on his signature. According to a report from Le Parisien, Arsenal and Chelsea have both held talks with his entourage as they look to make him a part of their project.
Having worked all across the globe in different capacities, Campos joined the French giants in the summer of 2022 as their strategic advisor. He has played a massive part in all the blockbuster signings they have made in the recent past.
While people at the club are quite happy with his work, his future has become a big talking point as his contract runs out at the end of the season. PSG have been in talks with him regarding a new deal, but they haven’t made any significant progress.
A massive deal from the Middle East
With no developments on that front, Saudi Arabia have already tried their luck to lure him away. They are all set to host the 20234 World Cup, and with an aim to do wonders on the global stage, they want Campos to play a massive role behind the scenes.
They have offered the 60-year-old a massive €200 million deal. He will be earning €20 million per year over a period of ten years to structure and organise the future of their national team. While a massive offer is on the table, Campos is giving PSG the priority.
Arsenal and Chelsea are pushing for Campos
But negotiations with the French club are at a standstill of late. Apart from interest from Saudi Arabia, Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be keen on his signature. The Gunners are yet to replace Edu, who was their sporting director, and they feel the PSG man could be an ideal fit for their project.
Meanwhile, the Blues are also keen on his signature as they look to build a strong structure above Enzo Maresca. Both London clubs have already contacted the representatives of the former Real Madrid scout. With PSG yet to put forward a concrete offer, Chelsea and Arsenal are hoping to lure him to the Premier League.
