According to UOL, Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of Nottingham Forest and two other football clubs, is intensely interested in Edu Gaspar. The Greek billionaire wants the Brazilian and Arsenal executive to take over the football operations of the two other clubs.

Nottingham Forest, owned by Evangelos Marinakis, survived the ordeal of relegation for two straight seasons and is now eager to build a solid foundation. In their two years of Premier League football, they have not worked with a structure but instead showed their haphazardness in the transfer window.
Signing multiple players who do not fit the system and cost the ownership a lot of money has been their major problem over the past two seasons. Their owner, Evangelos Marinakis, certainly wants to balance the act and bring decorum to the whole business.
Marinakis not only owns Nottingham Forest but also Olympiacos in Greece and Rio Ave in Portugal, as he seeks someone to oversee the operations as a football CEO. Edu Gaspar of Arsenal seems like his big target going forward, as the report states the Greek billionaire could attempt to sign him.
It is tricky for Forest to deal with a club like Arsenal and pluck one of their key executives from under the noses of their billionaire owners, the Kroenkes. While Marinakis’s plan seems ambitious, signing Edu Gaspar will be difficult.
Will Edu Gaspar join Nottingham Forest?
The world of football executives is different from that of the players, although some processes are still the same in the background. In Arsenal’s case, they have a stable environment in the background, mainly due to the presence of critical executives, especially Edu Gaspar. However, an approach from a figure like Marinakis to oversee his football business as CEO might entice the Brazilian.
