Tottenham rival Newcastle United, West Ham United in Edin Terzic chase

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a surprise move for Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic.

According to a report from Bild via Sport Witness, Tottenham Hotspur will compete with Newcastle United and West Ham United for 41-year-old Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic.

The three Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the German manager at the Bundesliga club, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to make a move for him at the end of the season.

While Newcastle United have had mediocre campaigns and it will not be a surprise if they decide to move for a new manager in the summer, a move to Tottenham would certainly be very surprising.

They have only just appointed Ange Postecoglou as the club’s manager, and they will look to give him the opportunity to build a formidable squad in the coming seasons. Meanwhile, West Ham will part ways with David Moyes this summer, with Julen Lopetegui expected to replace the Scotsman.

Tottenham must stick with Ange Postecoglou

Spurs have impressed with their performances under Ange Postecoglou this season, and even though they might miss out on Champions League qualification, they have shown enough improvement to suggest that they are heading in the right direction under the Australian manager.

Tottenham must look to be patient with the charismatic Australian tactician for now and allow him to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level. Meanwhile, the 41-year-old has helped Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund qualify for the UEFA Champions League finals, and it will be interesting to see if he can help his side go all the way.

They will be up against Spanish giants and serial winners Real Madrid. If they manage to win the competition, the 41-year-old might feel that he has taken the Bundesliga club as far as he could have. He might be open to a new challenge then.

Terzic could be tempted to move to the Premier League if the right opportunity presents itself. Tottenham are certainly a big club and they could be an attractive destination for most managers. Similarly, Newcastle and West Ham have exciting projects and the resources to attract the German. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.
