West Ham United have approached Ruben Amorim as an option to replace David Moyes, but nothing’s been agreed upon between the two parties.
Fabrizio Romano, via David Ornstein, has suggested West Ham United have approached Ruben Amorim to become their new manager. Nothing has been agreed upon between the two parties, as the 39-year-old Liverpool managerial target may not also join the Merseysiders.
West Ham approach for Ruben Amorim
For the last few months, talk about Ruben Amorim becoming the new Liverpool manager has been rife, and in recent weeks, the two parties had an agreement. However, Fabrizio Romano has insisted that’s not the case and that there’s no truth to the many reports linking the two parties.
However, he has shed light on West Ham’s potential chase of the 39-year-old Liverpool managerial target, with the Hammers already approaching. Per Ornstein’s tweet, Amorim hasn’t ruled out a move to the London Stadium, but he might only consider them if a move elsewhere doesn’t fit his agenda.
West Ham are looking at options to replace David Moyes, who might quit the London Stadium as he might not sign a new deal. They have approached the 39-year-old Sporting CP boss to replace him, but there’s no advanced talk or agreement between the two parties.
While this news will excite Hammers fans to a certain degree, they must keep their feet on the ground before it’s all made official. Hence, while Amorim might feel like an ambitious option, West Ham must take the long road before finalising the move in the summer.
West Ham’s other options to replace Moyes
Reports have started emerging in the media about multiple options West Ham are considering replacing Moyes. One of those is Julen Lopetegui, with the former Real Madrid and Wolves boss out of a job since leaving the latter last summer, and is seemingly ready to take on a significant role.
They are also targeting Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna as a potential option to replace Moyes, but there are chances this idea is a bit risky as he has little top-flight experience. However, his performances in the Championship have caught their eye this season, and hence, nothing can be ruled out at this stage.
