Trent Alexander-Arnold will return to the Liverpool starting lineup against Union Saint Gilloise in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
Liverpool were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in their last outing and they will be desperate to bounce back when they take on Union Saint Gilloise on Thursday night.
The Reds managed to pick up a victory in their Europa League opener and will look to build on their impressive start to the European competition with another victory here. The home side will be without the services of Thiago Alcantara who is still recovering from his groin injury.
The Spanish international recently suffered a setback, and he needs to work his way back to match fitness. Dutch international attacker Cody Gakpo is also injured for this game. He is expected to return to action after the international break.
Asked about Gakpo’s condition at his pre-Union SG press conference on Wednesday, Jurgen Klopp said, “He was injured before he scored the goal. No [he won’t be available].”
