A report from Fichajes claims that Liverpool are eyeing up a move for Xabi Alonso as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp in the near future.
Klopp has recently been linked with the German national team job. But it is highly unlikely that Liverpool will sanction his departure anytime soon. However, Liverpool are already planning for alternatives in the future, and Alonso has been identified as an option.
The former Liverpool midfielder has done an impressive job at Bayer Leverkusen, and he has the ability to manage a top Premier League club as well. Alonso knows the club well, and he could be a good fit for Liverpool.
