Crystal Palace are looking to bring in a new manager at the end of the season, and they are linked with Graham Potter.

Graham Potter was recently relieved of his duties at Chelsea after a series of poor performances. But even though his stint with the Blues lasted only a few months, it seems that Crystal Palace could look to bring him to Selhurst Park, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Potter has previously proven himself at Brighton & Hove Albion, and his progressive approach at the Amex Stadium attracted a lot of praise. He managed to impress Chelsea with his exploits at Brighton, which forced Chelsea to appoint him as their manager.

Things did not go according to plan at Stamford Bridge. But there is no doubt that Potter remains a quality manager with a bright future ahead of him. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace decided to part ways with Patrick Vieira earlier on in the season, and they appointed former manager Roy Hodgson to study the ship and guide the site to safety.

The experienced manager has done his job since taking over, and it is time for Crystal Palace to bring in a long-term option now. Potter would certainly be a quality replacement for Hodgson. But it remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace can secure an agreement with the 48-year-old.

The former Chelsea manager did well to rebuild the squad at Brighton and could do a similar job at Selhurst Park. Palace have a talented young squad with a number of quality players at their disposal. There is no reason why they cannot scale greater heights with a quality manager in charge.

Apparently, the Eagles have held talks with Potter in recent weeks, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops now. The opportunity to manage a Premier League club is likely to be a tempting proposition for Potter, and he will want to get back to management as soon as possible.

If Crystal Palace can convince him of their ambitions, there is no reason why he would turn down a move to the London club this summer. Meanwhile, the Eagles are already pressing ahead with their transfer plans, with Jefferson Lerma closing in on moving to Selhurst Park. Chelsea prospect Lewis Hall has also emerged as a target.
