Roberto Firmino will make his last appearance at Anfield when Liverpool take on Aston Villa on Saturday.

Liverpool are on an impressive run of form, winning the last six league matches. And they will be the favourites heading into the contest against Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. However, the visitors are no pushover and they will look to pull off an upset away from home.

The Reds will be without the services of Calvin Ramsay, Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara. All three players have been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, striker Darwin Nunez will miss out with a toe inflammation.

Roberto Firmino is finally over his persistent knocks. And the Brazilian international is set to feature here in his last-ever Anfield outing. Meanwhile, Klopp confirmed Firmino’s participation during his pre-match press conference.

“As far as I know in the moment, because I don’t have all the information yet, Bobby takes the place of Darwin because Darwin will not be available. Darwin will not be available.”

“It’s an inflammation of a tendon at the toe – very painful obviously. He didn’t train yet this week, so he will not be available for tomorrow. The long-term injuries are still out but all the rest should be available.”

Firmino will be a free agent in the summer, and Liverpool have confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the season. The Reds are likely to continue in a 4-3-3 formation, with Alisson Becker in goal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will be the full-backs, and they will look to create goalscoring opportunities for their team along with their defensive responsibilities. Alexander-Arnold has been in spectacular form in recent weeks, and Liverpool will need him to break down a resilient Aston Villa defence.

Ibrahima Konate will start alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence. Meanwhile, in the midfield unit, Fabinho is likely to take up the anchor role and he will look to win the ball back for his side. Jordan Henderson and Curtis Jones are likely to start as well.

Jones is in top form right now and he will look to add goals and creativity to the side. Roberto Firmino will lead the line for Liverpool, with Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz on either side of him. So Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo will be options on the bench for the hosts.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Diaz
