Thiago Alcantara will start, but Roberto Firmino will miss out for Liverpool against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Liverpool still have a slim chance of making it to the Champions League next season. But they will have to win their remaining games and hope that the other teams drop points. They were beaten by Nottingham Forest earlier this season and the Reds will be looking to avenge that defeat at Anfield on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp will be without the services of Calvin Ramsay, Stefan Bajcetic and Naby Keita. While Bajcetic and Ramsey are ruled out for the season, Keita continues to struggle with a knock. Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino has picked up a muscle injury and will be sidelined for the next three matches.

Klopp revealed during his pre-match press conference, “Unfortunately Bobby picked up a muscle issue a little bit. We will see how long that takes. It’s not too serious but he is definitely out for tomorrow and next week we have two more games, I would say they are impossible as well and then we will see. We have to take it day by day.”

Liverpool are likely to continue in their 4-3-3 formation, with Alisson Becker in goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will look to continue their impressive performances after dismantling Leeds United with their creativity and passing.

The two players will look to provide defensive cover to the side as well. Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate will partner with Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence.

In the middle of the park, Fabinho will anchor the side and look to win the ball back. Thiago Alcantara will dictate the tempo of the game and recycle possession. Curtis Jones is likely to start as well after impressing against Arsenal and Leeds.

Cody Gakpo impressed with his link-up play and movement against Leeds. So the Dutch international is set to lead the line once again. Struggling Portuguese international Diogo Jota returned to scoring ways last time out and he is likely to be handed a start once again.

It remains to be seen whether he can add to his tally on Saturday. Finally, Mohamed Salah will continue on the right. The Egyptian has been in red-hot form and he scored a brace against Leeds. He will look to continue his rich vein of form by getting on the score sheet once again. Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez will find himself on the bench on Saturday.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Thiago, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota
