Tottenham Hotspur are interested in hiring Feyenoord manager Arne Slot as their new boss ahead of next season.

According to a report by Telegraaf, Tottenham are keen on having Arne Slot as their new boss. They recently parted ways with Italian manager Antonio Conte. While they have decided to stick with Cristian Stellini as their head coach until the end of the season, the search for their new manager is underway.

Conte’s position at Spurs came under scrutiny after they were knocked out of the Champions League at the hands of AC Milan. While his overall record at the club was decent, the fact that he was out of the race for all possible titles in the ongoing season didn’t go down well with the club.

On top of that, the fact that he blasted his players as well as the club in a media interaction after a 3-3 draw against Southampton made the situation worse. It ultimately led to his sacking.

The London club have appointed Cristian Stellini as their caretaker manager until the end of the season. But, they already started the search for their new boss. And, the Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is one of the names on the list.

Slot has been in charge of the Dutch club since the summer of 2021. And, has done a great job at the club. He has led the team in 91 matches and averages 2.13 points per match.

As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the 44-year-old has led the club in 38 matches. He has won 25 of those matches and has been on the wrong side of the result just thrice. Feyenoord are currently at the top of the Dutch league and have an eight-point lead over the second-placed team.

His impressive performances have attracted interest from Spurs. The club are keen on having him in their ranks. They feel he could be the one who could eventually end their trophy drought.

However, it won be easy to land the Dutch manager. He extended his contract in the summer of 2022 and it includes a release clause. But, the clause won’t be active until the summer of 2024.

And, the fact that the club rejected an offer of €5 million from Leeds United last winter suggests that it won’t be easy for Spurs to prise him away from the Dutch club. As a result, the London club have a few other names on their list that they could shift their focus towards.
