Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are interested in signing Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri as their new manager.

According to Il Messaggero via Calcioinpillole, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are keen on having Maurizio Sarri as their new boss. Sarri has done a terrific job at Lazio and he is on the radar of many clubs from across the world.

Meanwhile, the Italian was appointed as the Lazio manager back in the summer of 2021. He has done wonders at the club since joining them. And, his managerial performances haven’t gone unnoticed.

Sarri’s team have done a great job in the ongoing season having won 18 matches out of the 36. They have drawn 9 and have lost just 9 matches so far.

Lazio are currently third in the Serie A with 48 points out of their 25 matches. They are two points behind second-placed Inter Milan but have a game in their hand. The Serie A club are on course to qualify for the next season’s UEFA Champions League and a lot of credit has to go to the former Chelsea boss.

Sarri’s contract at the club ends in the summer of 2025 and he wants to stay at the club until the end of his contract. According to the reports, he has already rejected a €7 million offer from the United Arab Emirates.

While he wants to continue in Italy, Premier League clubs could still try to convince him to return to England. Tottenham and West Ham are the two clubs who are interested in having the 64-year-old on their bench.

Spurs haven’t been convinced by Antonio Conte’s work at the club. Their exit from the Round of 16 of the Champions League against AC Milan created a lot of uncertainty around the managers’ future. The club have already started looking for a new boss and they believe Sarri could be a great fit for the club.

Meanwhile, West Ham United are also looking to move on from David Moyes. Moyes has had a terrible season with the London club. They are currently 18th in the league and are fighting for survival in the English top flight. If Moyes fails to get the right results in the near future they might sack him.

The Hammers are on the lookout for a new boss. They feel that Sarri could be the right man to lead this group of players. However, it will be interesting to see whether the Italian manager would leave Italy and return to England in the near future.
