Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte could be on his way out of the club at the end of the ongoing season.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Inter Milan are hoping to bring 53-year-old Tottenham tactician Antonio Conte back to the club at the end of the season. The Italian manager will be a free agent in the summer. And Tottenham have not managed to agree on a new deal with him yet.

The Italian is a world-class manager who has proven his quality across multiple clubs. Securing his services would be a major boost for Inter Milan as they look to get back to the top of Italian football once again.

Conte has managed Inter Milan before, and he helped them win the Scudetto. Inter have not been able to perform at that level since his departure, and they will be hoping that Conte can revive the club once again.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have the option to extend Antonio Conte’s contract for another season. And it remains to be seen whether the Premier League club are willing to exercise that clause. They will be hoping that the Italian manager can commit his long-term future to the club and help them win trophies in the coming seasons.

His departure will come as a massive blow to Tottenham and Daniel Levy. The London club has been extremely supportive of Conte since his arrival, and they have backed him with a number of quality signings.

However, Conte is an ambitious manager who will be hoping to win the Premier League soon and Tottenham are clearly not at that level yet. Furthermore, the London club do not have the resources to compete with clubs like Manchester City either.

At Inter Milan, Conte will be competing with clubs on a similar financial footing, and he will fancy his chances of winning major trophies with the Italian club. Conte’s departure could affect the futures of key players at Tottenham as well. Players like Harry Kane, who have been linked with summer moves could feel that Spurs’ best chance of winning a trophy might be gone with the Italian if he leaves.
