Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on joining Tottenham if they part ways with Tottenham.

According to a report from Evening Standard, former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been lined up as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte. And the German manager is keen on managing Tottenham.

Tottenham made an impressive start to the season. But their form has fizzled out in recent weeks and the north Londoners are now struggling to hold down to a place in the top four. Spurs will be desperate to secure UEFA Champions League qualification. And it remains to be seen whether they can turn things around in the coming weeks.

Antonio Conte is under pressure to transform the fortunes of his side. And it remains to be seen whether the Italian can get his side firing on all cylinders once again. Meanwhile, Conte will be out of contract at the end of the season and he has been linked with several top clubs.

Tottenham have not managed to secure an extension with their manager yet. And it will be interesting to see if they are forced to look for alternatives in the summer. Antonio Conte has been backed heavily in the transfer market since his arrival. And Daniel Levy will want him to stay at the club and lead the project at the north London club.

The Italian tactician is a proven winner who has won multiple trophies across a number of clubs in different leagues. There is no doubt that Conte is a world-class coach who can help end the trophy drought at Tottenham.

It would be quite surprising if the Italian decided to abandon the project at Tottenham and return to Italy in the summer. However, Conte will want to reinforce his squad in the coming months. And Tottenham will have to match up to his ambitions in the transfer market.

If they fail to bring in the necessary reinforcements, it could force the Italian manager to consider his future at Tottenham. Meanwhile, Tuchel would be a quality acquisition as well if Conte decides to move on.

The German manager helped Chelsea win the Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge. And he has proven himself at Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain in the past. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few months now. Ideally, Tottenham will want to keep Conte at the club for as long as possible. But the former Chelsea man is an attractive target.
