Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly obsessed with the project brewing at Newcastle United.

According to a report from Football Insider, Jurgen Klopp is impressed with the project at Newcastle United. And the 55-year-old German manager could be open to joining the Premier League club when he leaves Liverpool.

Newcastle United underwent a takeover recently, and the new owners have been extremely ambitious so far. The Magpies have brought in a number of talented players and are expected to improve their squad further in the upcoming transfer windows.

The Tyneside giants are currently third in the Premier League table, and there is no reason why they cannot finish in the Champions League places this season. On the other hand, Liverpool have had a poor campaign so far.

Newcastle United are currently the richest club on paper, and the new owners will look to get them back to their former glories soon. However, for that to happen, they must look to bring in an elite manager in the near future as well. As good as Eddie Howe has been, he is not good enough to win Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles.

Klopp has proven his pedigree over the years at Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool. The German manager has carried Liverpool to every trophy possible at the club level, and he could be a sensational acquisition for Newcastle United in the coming seasons.

The 55-year-old manager has a contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2026, and the Reds are unlikely to let him leave anytime soon. Having said that, Liverpool are facing an uncertain future with the Fenway Sports Group putting the club up for sale.

There has been no information about the potential new owners, and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to persist with Klopp once they have taken over from FSG. Klopp is one of the finest managers of his generation, and he is reportedly obsessed with the ambition shown by Newcastle United in the transfer market so far.

The Magpies are certainly one of the biggest clubs in England and have the potential to develop into a European powerhouse. With Klopp at the helm, there is no reason why they cannot win the major trophies in the near future.
