Barcelona will face Eintracht Frankfurt while West Ham United take on Olympique Lyon in the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League Quarter-finals.

The draw for the UEFA Europa League Quarter-finals took place in Switzerland on Friday afternoon as we enter the business end of the 2021/22 campaign. And the draw threw up some very enticing match-ups for the Last Eight stage of Europe’s secondary continental club competition.

The first quarter-final of the 2021/22 Europa League will see RB Leipzig square off against Atalanta, who saw off the challenge from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16. Leipzig, meanwhile, were given a bye into this round after FIFA and UEFA disqualified their opponents, Spartak Moscow and other Russian clubs, as an action against the invasion of Ukraine.

Barcelona, who were made to work hard by Galatasaray in the Round of 16, will square off against Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, who eliminated Real Betis, with the first leg set to be played in Germany.

West Ham United, who came out on top against a tough Sevilla side after extra time earlier this Thursday, have been drawn against French giants Lyon after they dumped out FC Porto from the Round of 16.

The final draw of the Europa League quarter-finals saw Scottish champions Rangers come up against Portuguese side SC Braga. Having already eliminated Borussia Dortmund and Malmo, the Gers will back themselves to make it to the final four of the competition.

As for the semi-final draws, the winners of RB Leipzig vs Atalanta will face off against the triumphant team from the fourth quarterfinal, i.e., either SC Braga or Rangers. Two of the tournament favourites, Barcelona and West Ham United, could come face to face in the second semi-final provided they win their quarter-final ties.
