Predicted Liverpool lineup against Arsenal: Salah fit to start; Thiago in for Keita

Mohamed Salah is fit to feature, while Thiago Alcantara is in line to replace Naby Keita when Liverpool face Arsenal in a vital Premier League encounter.

Liverpool will travel to London to lock horns with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in a crucial Premier League encounter on Wednesday night.

Heading up to the game, manager Jurgen Klopp has received a massive boost as star man Mohamed Salah is fit and available for selection after being withdrawn with an injury in the match against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend. Ibrahima Konate is also back in contention after missing the last two games. However, James Milner and Kostas Tsimikas are ruled out due to illness.

Providing an update on the team news in his pre-match presser, Klopp said: “Mo is a tough cookie and he was only a little bit cut, we were quite lucky with it. It was swollen, painful, yesterday a little less swollen, less painful. Now I got the message before the press conference that Mo is ready to train and we will see how that looks. Ibou is back. Millie and Kostas, I understand in this moment, are out, and that’s it.”

Liverpool are unlikely to make a lot of changes to the team that saw off Brighton last time out to make it eight wins in a row in the Premier League. Alisson Becker is the undisputed starter in goal for the Reds when they take the pitch at the Emirates Stadium, while Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk line up at the heart of the defence. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are guaranteed picks as the full-backs.

Moving into the middle of the park, Fabinho is certain to feature at the base of the three-man midfield unit, where he will have the crucial duty of keeping Martin Odegaard quiet. He will get defensive support from Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson, who will also drive the team forward when on the ball.

Naby Keita was preferred in the game against Brighton over the weekend, but Klopp could turn to the more experienced Thiago Alcantara for his pivotal clash on Wednesday night.

With Salah fit to feature, he should occupy his usual spot on the right flank for Liverpool against Arsenal. Luis Diaz, who scored his first Premier League goal for the Reds in the weekend win, should retain his place on the left, meaning Sadio Mane is again set to start through the middle. Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino will be options from the bench.

Liverpool Predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Mane, Diaz.
