AC Milan have registered interest in the services of Fulham star Fabio Carvalho, who is also courted by Liverpool.

According to Calciomercato, AC Milan are keeping close tabs on the progression of Fabio Carvalho. The Serie A giants are aware of the Englishman’s talents, with Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara working on a potential deal to lure him to San Siro in the upcoming summer transfer window.

A product of the Fulham academy, Carvalho has been mainly linked with a move to Liverpool. The Merseyside giants were even tipped to complete a deadline day swoop for the Fulham starlet, but the move collapsed at the last minute. Nevertheless, Liverpool are expected to be involved in the market to sign Carvalho, though this time around, they are set to face stiff competition from AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are looking for fresh blood in the creative unit, especially after the summer exit of Hakan Calhanoglu, coupled with the inconsistencies of Brahim Diaz. It has compelled Stefano Pioli and the rest of the club’s hierarchy to enter the market for a new attacker, with Fabio Carvalho firmly in their sights.

The 19-year-old has been one of the breakout stars in the Championship this term, scoring seven goals and registering four assists in 18 league matches. Apart from his impressive numbers, the youngster has made a solid impression with his vast skill-set, including his technical prowess and dynamism in the final third.

Carvalho’s contributions in the attack have played a key role in helping Fulham remain on top of the Championship standings, emerging as the firm favourites to get back to the top-flight next season.

The youngster’s days at Craven Cottage, though, could be numbered, with his current deal at the club expiring at the end of the season. Liverpool have already scheduled fresh talks with the Englishman over a Bosman move in the summer, whereas others such as Chelsea and Real Madrid have also shown the desire to snap him up next season.

Milan’s interest could further spice up the transfer saga, especially with the Rossoneri prepared to offer Carvalho a more prominent role in the first team. It leaves the youngster with a myriad of options to choose from even before the player truly kickstarts his professional career.
