Transfer News: Aston Villa rival Arsenal, Tottenham for Dejan Kulusevski

Aston Villa are ready to rival Arsenal and Tottenham in the race for Dejan Kulusevsi as Juventus are prepared to let him leave if a reasonable offer comes in.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal and Tottenham have a new rival in the race for Dejan Kulusevski, with Aston Villa entering the chase for the Swedish winger. Juventus are willing to listen to offers for the 21-year-old wide man.

Dejan Kulusevski is considered one of the brightest prospects in Europe, yet Juventus are prepared to let him leave if a reasonable offer comes their way. The Bianconeri manager Massimiliano Allegri does not seem too keen to integrate the Swede in his plans for the long term and would be willing to gain funds for an alternative.

Kulusevski has started just six of his seventeen appearances in Serie A this term, which has given way to speculation over his future. The Bianconeri are likely to demand around €30-35 million for the winger, with several Premier League sides keen on his services.

Arsenal have been mentioned earlier as a potential destination. Mikel Arteta sees the 21-year-old as an ideal replacement for out of favour forward Nicolas Pepe, who could be sold in the summer. There are no indications over a January move, but the Gunners could make an approach over a summer transfer.

Tottenham are also in the race for the Swede, as Antonio Conte wants to bring a new option into his attack. Spurs are prepared to make a part-exchange offer to Juventus, although the Italian side would like a cash-only deal for Kulusevski.

The north London sides could be a good destination for the Swede to further his career and start a new challenge in the Premier League. However, there is a new entrant in the race for the winger, with Aston Villa emerging as contenders.

The Villans have plenty of wide attacking options but maybe not to the level Steven Gerrard expects. Moreover, the Midlands club are willing to offload Anwar El Ghazi and Bertrand Traore to make space for incoming transfers and have identified the young Swede as a possible option.

As they showed in the summer window, Aston Villa have the financial muscle to compete with Arsenal or Spurs. Summer recruits Emiliano Buendia and Leon Bailey have not clicked yet, which could force the club to invest again.

As for Kulusevski, he could ponder the options on the table as he looks to kick-start his career after it has seemingly stalled over the past year at Juventus.
