Real Madrid have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Julian Draxler and are weighing up paying €20 million to sign the German international from PSG.

According to a report by Catalan outlet El Nacional, Julian Draxler has been offered to Real Madrid over a possible move in next summer’s transfer window. And the Spanish giants are considering signing the German international, valued at €20 million by Paris Saint-Germain.

Julian Draxler joined Paris Saint-Germain from Wolfsburg in January 2017 and has since struggled to perform to potential. While the 28-year-old has shown flashes of the potential he possesses, the presence of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria has restricted his involvement greatly. And the arrival of Lionel Messi in the summer has hurt his prospects further.

To date, the German international has made 188 appearances for PSG, chipping in with 26 goals and 41 assists in the process. However, after struggling to start games regularly, Draxler’s frustrations have boiled over, and he is ready to leave the French club. As a result, the player has offered his services to Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants hold a long-standing interest in Draxler, having made previous attempts to sign him when he was plying his trade in Germany. And Real Madrid could do with a player like Draxler, considering Gareth Bale is set to depart the Santiago Bernabeu, either in January or next summer.

In addition, Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio face uncertain futures at Real Madrid. And while the La Liga heavyweights are confident of snapping up Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer in the summer transfer window, they will unlikely spend huge sums if they look to sign other wide-attackers in the same window, which could be the case.

To that end, Draxler would be a viable target for Real Madrid, who are showing an inclination towards signing him from PSG. Raul Gonzalez is also coaxing the Merengues into landing the German international, with the former Spanish striker well-versed with his qualities from their days playing together at FC Schalke 04.

The 28-year-old will not cost a bomb either, with Paris Saint-Germain demanding around €20 million to part with him. With Draxler eager to leave PSG sooner rather than later, Real Madrid will have a great chance of securing his services, despite their strained relations with Les Parisiens.
