Serie A trio AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Fiorentina are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on loan in January.

As reported by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Luka Jovic is being courted by a trio of Serie A clubs heading into the January transfer window. AC Milan, Inter Milan and Fiorentina are all eyeing a possible loan move for the Real Madrid outcast.

Luka Jovic joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 following an impressive 2018/19 campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt. However, the move to the Spanish capital has been disastrous for the Serbian striker, who has never been given a run of starts, albeit for a good reason, with Karim Benzema going from strength to strength in this period.

But Jovic has failed to make an impression when afforded an opportunity, which has not helped his case either. To date, the 23-year-old has only managed a paltry return of two goals and three assists in 38 appearances for Real Madrid. So, it goes without saying that Los Blancos are unlikely to have any qualms over offloading Jovic, who is now being tailed by Inter Milan, AC Milan and Fiorentina.

The interest from Inter Milan is understandable, considering Alexis Sanchez could be solid in the January transfer window following a poor start to the season. The departure of the Chilean forward would necessitate a replacement, making Jovic a viable target for the Serie A champions.

As for AC Milan, the Rossoneri did sign a striker in the summer, with Olivier Giroud arriving from Chelsea. With Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao capable of leading the line, the interest in the Real Madrid outcast does not make much sense, although it must be noted that Leao has been linked with Real Madrid in recent weeks.

The third Serie A club in pursuit of Jovic are Fiorentina, who are in a precarious situation over the future of Dusan Vlahovic. With the Serb almost certain to depart the club in one of the next two transfer windows, the interest in his compatriot is justified, making them an ideal fit for the Real Madrid striker.

What remains to be seen now is if any of the three Serie A clubs manage to swoop Jovic away from Real Madrid on a loan deal in January. All things considered, the Serbian international’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu appears to be bleak, and a winter exit could be on the cards.
