Interest from Premier League sides keeps mounting in Juventus ace Aaron Ramsey, who is wanted by Crystal Palace, Everton and Newcastle United.

According to Calciomercato, many clubs from the Premier League are queuing up for the signature of Aaron Ramsey, who has cut an unhappy figure at Juventus. The Italian side are open to letting him leave the club and hoping to save on his high wages.

When Aaron Ramsey left Arsenal after nearly a decade on a free transfer, Juventus looked to have made a shrewd signing without spending anything. That move made them offer the Welshman a huge salary and find it difficult to offload him.

Ramsey started rather brightly at Juventus but has since tailed off. Injuries and loss of form have blighted his time in Turin, and the club were ready to offload him in the summer. There was plenty of interest from Premier League sides, but they were not prepared to pay his exorbitant wages at that time.

There were rumours of a swap deal with Wolves in the summer, with Ruben Neves moving the other way. There was an agreement between the clubs, but Ramsey was reluctant about the transfer. With two years left on his expensive Juventus deal, Ramsey decided to stay put and give one more shot at convincing Max Allegri of a place.

He has played a bit-part role under the returning manager this season, featuring only three times in the league. With the signing of Manuel Locatelli and the increasing influence of Rodrigo Bentacur, Adrien Rabiot, Ramsey will find it even more difficult to get a regular run of matches in Serie A.

The Bianconeri are prepared to let him leave on a free transfer or at a discounted price if it means saving on his massive wages. They might be hoping the mounting interest from Premier League clubs proves concrete enough in January, with Crystal Palace, Everton, and Newcastle United keen on the Welshman.

Palace are looking for an experienced midfielder to help Patrick Vieira with a young squad, while Everton are looking at a similar profile player. Meanwhile, the new, cash-rich ownership at Newcastle United could also ponder a move for the classy midfielder to add short-term value while affording his huge wages if necessary.

Ramsey himself will be attracted to a Premier League return if it means playing regularly. He has to establish a tempo ahead of the World Cup next year, as he is expected to play a prominent role for Wales in the tournament, should they qualify. As we approach the January window, things might get clearer over his future and which club he may be inclined to join in the Premier League.
