According to Caughtoffside, Chelsea have been scouting Angers teenager Mohamed-Ali Cho on multiple occasions, suggesting a growing interest from the European champions in the highly-rated Frenchman.

Chelsea usually make headlines for their high-profile transfer dealings or ambitious links to some of the top players. However, the club has been operating quite efficiently in the background with regards to developing young players from their teenage days.

While some of these young stars end up with the first team, they are often sent on multiple loan moves and probably sold later on a profit for Chelsea. The Blues have made a habit of stockpiling some of the brightest talents across Europe.

They are recently linked with released Ajax youngster Joshua Pynadath, as both parties could agree on a deal. Now, Chelsea are linked to Angers teenager Mohamed-Ali Cho, who has become an important player for the French side.

Once an Everton youth prospect, Mohamed-Ali Cho joined Angers in January 2020 and was playing with the first team within a matter of months. By trade, he is a forward who can take up multiple positions in the final third. He hasn’t scored many goals for the French side, but shown good energy whenever on the pitch,

Last season, the 17-year-old played 21 times in Ligue 1 in what was his breakthrough year. However, during those games, Mohamed-Ali Cho failed to score or assist a single goal for Angers. He did open his account in this campaign against Rennes, and his performance against Lyon in a win received praises as well.

The report suggests that Chelsea scouts have been watching Mohamed-Ali Cho on numerous occasions, and these could be indications they might be considering a move in the future. The attacker has already taken giant strides towards a successful career and recently featured for the French U21 side.

While talks have not begun between both clubs, it remains to be seen if the player would want to move back to England so soon. He might even choose to stay at Angers and get regular game time under his belt to aid his development in the right way.
