Real Madrid and Manchester City are reportedly among the clubs that are closely monitoring the situation of Dusan Vlahovic.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are among the front-runners to sign Dusan Vlahovic in next summer’s transfer window. However, Real Madrid and Manchester City are also keeping a close watch on the 21-year-old Fiorentina forward situation from afar.
Dusan Vlahovic has been on an imperious run since finally enjoying a breakthrough at Fiorentina last season, a couple of years after joining the Serie A club from Partizan Belgrade. Indeed, the start to the 2021/22 campaign has been spectacular for the Serb, who has five goals in four appearances so far.
His progress has invariably captured the attention of some of the biggest clubs in the world, who are now eyeing the 21-year-old as a potential alternative to the Erling Haalands, Romelu Lukakus and Harry Kanes of the game. Among the potential suitors for Vlahovic are Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Real Madrid are primarily targeting a move for Erling Haaland as far as next summer is concerned, with reports even claiming that they are the favourites to sign him. However, with competition for the Borussia Dortmund forward increasing rapidly – Manchester City are one of his potential suitors – it will be prudent if Los Blancos keep their options open.
To that end, Vlahovic is a viable target for Real Madrid, especially if he can continue his upward trajectory in the years to come. Manchester City, on the other hand, are hot on the trails of the 21-year-old Serb for a good reason as well.
That is because the reigning Premier League champions failed to secure the services of Harry Kane in the summer transfer window. With a replacement for Sergio Aguero yet to be signed, Vlahovic is certainly an option worth considering unless Ferran Torres’s transformation into a centre-forward is a resounding success.

Real Madrid and Manchester City, though, are simply keeping tabs on the Fiorentina talisman from afar for now, with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund pursuing his signature more seriously. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the two European giants firm up their interest in Vlahovic by the time the transfer window opens next summer.
