Real Madrid have reportedly prepared their final offer to sign priority target Kylian Mbappe late in the ongoing transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish publication AS, Real Madrid’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappe appears to be in the final stretch. The Spanish giants are readying their final bid for the 22-year-old French attacker, hoping to swoop him away with this offer before the summer transfer window slams shut.

Kylian Mbappe has had the world at his feet ever since he first broke out at AS Monaco half a decade ago. Since then, the Frenchman has gone from strength to strength, and is now regarded as one of the best players in the game, having been nothing short of phenomenal for Paris Saint-Germain while also becoming a pivotal player for the French national side.

To date at club level, Mbappe has a fabulous record of 133 goals and 63 assists in 174 appearances, and has made a strong start to the season amid uncertainty surrounding his future at PSG. Indeed, the 22-year-old has entered the final year of his current deal with the French giants and appears to be at a standoff over the terms of a renewal. This has alerted long-time suitors Real Madrid.

The Merengues have been rumoured to be tailing Mbappe pretty much from the moment he burst onto the spotlight while he was still at AS Monaco. Since then, Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, with their interest firming up this summer.

The eagerness to sign an attacking powerhouse stems from their inability to truly replace Cristiano Ronaldo since his departure three years ago. As a result, Mbappe is viewed as the ideal candidate to make as great a long-term impact on potential, making him a viable target for Real Madrid.

However, PSG have been playing hardball over being open to the prospect of negotiating with Real Madrid over a possible summer transfer. As a result, Los Blancos have had to identify alternatives to Mbappe, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Lautaro Martinez and Harry Kane being linked with them.

Now, though, Real Madrid are preparing their final offer for Mbappe, which will be in the range of €130 million and €170 million. If they are still unable to reach an agreement with PSG, their pursuit is likely to end for the summer before they return next year to sign him, possibly on a Bosman move. However, it remains to be seen if their final bid does the trick.
