Real Madrid youngster Rodrygo Goes has registered on the radars of Premier League outfit Everton as he looks to move away in search of regular game-time.

According to a report from Spanish publication Fichajes, Real Madrid are looking to offload some players this summer as they look to trim their squad, and young Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes could be on the way out, with Everton interested.

Rodrygo arrived at Real Madrid from Brazilian outfit Santos FC in 2019 with the reputation of being the next big thing in South American football. While the 20-year-old made a blazing start to life in Spain, he failed to build upon it and saw his role in the starting lineup diminish over the past year or so.

Indeed, Rodrygo featured in just 22 La Liga games in the last season, scoring just the solitary goal, while he did register six assists. Nonetheless, the report stays that the 20-year-old is not entirely pleased with his situation in Real Madrid and is seeking a move to a club where he could feature more regularly and further his career.

And, as per the report, Everton are one of the clubs that are interested in his services. The Toffees are ushering in a new era under former Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez. And, attack is an area where the Merseyside giants could use reinforcements, given as both Alex Iwobi and Bernard have struggled while Theo Walcott has departed the club as well.

Everton have signed Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray already to bolster their wings, but Bernard could be on his way out as well, while Richarlison has also been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid. So, the need for a new forward could very much arise in the coming days at Goodison Park, making Rodrygo a viable target.

Apart from Everton, La Liga club Sevilla and Serie A outfit Napoli are also looking at the 20-year-old as an option to bolster their attacking unit. While the Brazilian hasn’t featured regularly in the Spanish capital, he has shown plenty of promise when given a chance and can flourish with regular game-time.

It now remains to be seen if the Toffees are able to come out on top in the race to land Rodrygo or if some other club swoops him away this summer. For now, the youngster is staring at an uncertain future at Real Madrid.
